Just A Comic 04 - Epilogue

Editor's note: Sometimes asking the obvious can be a good filler.

Long Hair Lady's dialogue in red: "Hey! I'm Hainanese too!"

Short Hair Lady's dialogue in red: "Hey, I can't tell!"

Long Hair Lady's dialogue in red: "Later we'll have chicken rice at Purvis Street."
Short Hair Lady's dialogue in red: "And order a plate of sweet and sour pork too."

Long Hair Lady's dialogue in red: "Hey, look at that monkey staring at us."

Guy: "I'm done for."

that's the advantage of being in a dislect whereby it's not common, yet not uncommon..

that's the joy of gossiping in front of the person w/o him/her knowing! wahahahah

good work, as usual....! :)

This brings me to a question of try not to speak back about other in ur own language.

I know of Indian's that know Hokkien,
Malay's that are super fluent in Chinese, Same for Ang Mohs.

I bet there is some underlying meaning to this comic. Hehehe.

Bwahaahaa that's funny! Unfortunately all the languages and dialects I speak are all pretty common :(

Being a Hainanese (dying breed) and reading your comic in Hainanese is just truly amazing.

The advantage to have the surname Foo is that people could immediately recognize that you are a Hainanese. my surname is Chong, therefore people cannot identify our family as a Hainanese household. You are Wang ...hmm...so is my mom. by the way, great illustrations you have. This is my first time visiting your blog. Boh Kai dit.
